Programme Description

This is a special programme which combines General English lessons with fun social activities. It is available during July and August and ideal for anyone who wants to learn English but also see London and have a memorable summer time experience.

 

 

Course Description

In the General English lessons you will improve confidence in all the key English language skills. Lessons are delivered using a combination of activities - pair and group work, discussions, role plays, controlled reading and writing exercises. You will learn English grammar structures, phrases and vocabulary for use in a variety of everyday situations. 
 

You will practise:

  • Speaking
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Grammar
  • Pronunciation
  • Vocabulary
  • Use of English

 

Social Activities

You will do one full day and one afternoon activity per week. Whether you prefer sightseeing in London, films in English at the cinema, boat trips, museum & gallery visits, or even trying fish & chips, there is something for everyone on our fully supervised social programme.

 

Typical activities include:

  • London sightseeing
  • Historic castles
  • Picnics and games in the park
  • Ten pin bowling
  • Museums & galleries
  • Boat trips on the River Thames
